Role:
AmberSemi is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead our platform product designs. The individual must thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment defining architectures, creating schematics, working with PCB layout designers, bringing-up new hardware designs, and supporting customers and partners. You will lead all aspects of electrical board design, including electrical components selection, printed circuit qualification, and communications design. You will develop design collateral and are responsible for the success of the implementation.
Responsibilities:
• Full responsibility for success of hardware design implementation
• Research innovative design solutions and products in partnership with the marketing and software team members
• Develop internal and external documentation including schematics, PCB layouts, design guides, test hardware, and procedures
• Propose and execute prototype projects that introduce an innovative solution to new or existing problems
Required Qualifications:
• MSEE degree is preferred
• Superb conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• A self-motivated individual as well as a very complementary team player
• Experience in power electronics, power semiconductors, power management
• Design experience with integrated circuits: microprocessors, power, digital, and analog circuits
• Proficient in using a variety of test equipment and electronic laboratory instruments
• Proficient in using a variety of simulation tools
• Ability to coordinate and manage 3rd-party vendors, such as PCB layout resources
• Must be authorized to work in United States without company sponsorship
Desirable Qualifications:
• Knowledgeable in the use of LTspice/SIMetrix and Altium software
• Knowledge in AC power (AC to DC conversion, motors/inductive loads, lighting control, etc.)
• Regulatory agency (UL, CSA, FCC, etc.) requirements experience as it applies to AC-based products
• Familiar with design requirements for high-volume consumer products

Role:
AmberSemi is currently looking for an entry-level, self-motivated Electrical Engineer to devel-op new and disruptive products in the IoT space. The Electrical Engineer will work both in R&D and product development. You will be in testing, gathering performance data, modifying new de-signs, and confirming that our new technologies meet design specifications. The ideal candidate has an excellent grasp of electrical engineering fundamentals and can demonstrate creativity in problem solving. This is a great opportunity to join a company that will change the way people think about electricity.
Responsibilities:
• Perform tests and measurements on our new technologies
• Update and modify designs so that circuits meet design specifications
• Modify PCAs per updated designs
• Run simulation software to confirm modified circuit design performance
• Use computer-assisted engineering software to create/modify schematics and Bills of Materials
• Coordinate prototype PCA builds
Required Qualifications:
• BSEE degree
• Experience in the use of electrical engineering software
• Able to troubleshoot and solve PCA problems
• Knowledge in the use of test and measurement equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, volt meters, etc.)
• Basic skills in PCA rework
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Great team player
• Must be authorized to work in United States without company sponsorship

Role:
AmberSemi is seeking an Electronic Soldering Technician capable of working at the direction of the electrical engineers. Our company requires hands-on experience with printed circuit board and surface-mount component touch-up and repair/replacement soldering skills.
Responsibilities:
• • Solder surface mount electronic and mechanical components on printed circuit boards (PCB) and flexible printed circuits (FPC)
• Perform visual inspection of PCBs and FPCs
Required Qualifications:
• • Experience soldering surface mount components on PCB and FPC
• Experience inspecting surface mount assemblies
• Expected to read and comprehend bill of materials and assembly drawings
• Able to identify electronic components
• Working knowledge of lab bench ESD procedures
• Familiar with soldering and desoldering tools and procedures
• Able to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• No IPC qualifications are necessary
• 4 years experience in surface mount PCA rework
• Basic skills in MS Office tools
